FAQs Frequently Asked Questions

The AussieThink Frequently Asked Questions page provides detailed information about AussieThink and our services. We are constantly updating our FAQ's page in response to the questions we are asked. If you still have questions after reading the FAQ, please contact AussieThink Customer Service.

Can anyone join AussieThink?

AussieThink membership is restricted to Australian residents aged 14 years and over. If you live in Australia, and are 14 years old or over, you are eligible to register.

How much does it cost to join AussieThink?

Membership is free. All you need is a valid email address to receive our invitations to take part in surveys. You can cancel your membership at any time by sending an email message to: unsubscribe@aussiethink.com.au

Can other members of my household join?

Yes. Anyone in a household may join and complete surveys individually to win points and enter our prize draws. Moreover, if you persuade other members of your household (or anybody for that matter) to join, you gain automatic entry into our refer-a-friend prize draws (please note that these draws run periodically -see here for more details). Click here to refer a friend or family member. The only restriction is that each person who joins must have their own email address, and be 14 years old or over.

Note that our registration service will not accept members who share the same email address. Please also note that it is an offence to register under more than one alias. This is fraud. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.

I joined AussieThink some time ago, but I haven’t received any surveys yet. What’s happened?

Quite possibly you have not been eligible for recent surveys because you do not match the target group our clients are interested in. Our clients often specify exact criteria for the type of people they would like to find out about, based on such criteria as age or geographic location. Another reason may be that your survey invitations sent through the email are being treated as spam by your email client. Please make sure you configure your email client to accept our survey invitations. Instructions on how to do this may be found in our Email Client Configuration Guide.

How can I cancel my membership?

Cancelling your membership is easy. Simply send any message to cancel@aussiethink.com.au and we will cease your membership.

When I register, how often will I be sent surveys?

It depends on your profile, and the requirements of our clients. Often, clients seek specific information from certain types of people. For example, clients may only need information from a specific age group who earn a certain level of income. Wherever possible, we try to match the topic of survey to people’s interests.

What happens if I am sent a survey but I don’t complete it?

You are not required to complete any survey we send you, and you may opt out of the survey at any time before clicking the final "Submit" button.

Can I start a survey, save what I have done, then come back and finish it later without starting over?

Yes. If you find you do not have enough time to complete a survey in one sitting, you can always save it and come back to finish it another time. However, please note that most surveys have a deadline. If you do not submit the completed survey before the deadline, then you may not be eligible to enter any associated prize draw, or earn points.

Why doesn't’t the link on the survey you sent me work?

Some email clients (such as Hot Mail) may disable email links. First, cut the email link to the survey and manually paste it into your Internet browser window. Take extra care to ensure the whole link is copied (it might be quite long).

If you are still having problems, please check the following:

  • Make sure your web browser AND firewall is set to accept cookies
  • Make sure AussieThink is on the safe list of any Ad ware or Spy ware program running
  • Make sure that your firewall isn't blocking access to the site If you are still having problems, please email our support team support@aussiethink.com.au

Can I volunteer to take extra surveys?

More often than not our surveys are targeted towards a specific target market. As such, we are unable to include those who do not fulfil the criteria describing the group of people we are interested in. If you receive an invitation to participate in a survey, it is an indication that you are a member of a specific target market.
